In ciuda vitregiilor, locuitorii acestor sate si-au pastrat vii traditiile si folclorul. Astazi puteti vizita aceste locuri si puteti admira stilul unic de viata al oamenilor de aici. In putine alte regiuni ale Europei s-a dezvoltat o cultura rurala atat de puternica.
Agricultura a constituit intotdeauna elementul de baza care a asigurat existenta locuitorilor de la munte. Acest lucru se reflecta in traditiile locale, de exemplu in festivalurile care se desfasoara in lunile aprilie, mai, august si decembrie.
Festivalul din decembrie are loc la Sighetu Marmatiei, iar in cadrul lui au loc parazi costumate. Puteti vedea acolo interesante masti reprezentand animale.
